The Secret Doctrine teaches that change is inherent in evolution. The Yugas are stages through which the divine sparks pass on their evolutionary path. The present one is Kali Yuga, which contrasts with the other three by its acceleration of the process. Everything is going faster now: consequences follow their causes more rapidly, Karma accelerates. It is therefore a stage full of challenges and opportunities, which we will resolve as we learn to cooperate with all living beings, fulfilling the mandate to establish the Universal Brotherhood. 

The only way to accomplish this task is to adopt a Compassionate Mind towards all sentient beings, for we are all in this endeavour together, and we share responsibility with the Hierarchy of Compassion, lending voice, mind, will and action on this material plane, so that Its work may be accomplished.
